Her presentation focused on why and how the EU developed geoeconomic tools and argued that the shift from liberal economics to geoeconomics is a paradigm shift rather than just a shift in instruments. The lively debate touched upon the consequences of such a shift for European industrial policy and cohesion and for the evolution of trade policy at the global level.
